When asked about his lawsuit against J. Cole during a preview of an upcoming episode of the “Talk With Flee” podcast, Cam’ron stayed mum, dodging direct questions about the ongoing legal battle surrounding their collaboration “Ready ’24.”

In a trailer for the episode airing on Wednesday (November 5), co-host Sen City hopes to get answers from Cam.

“You sue J. Cole? Because I have a problem with it,” he asked. Cameron didn’t respond.

Sencheng keeps pushing forward. “J. Cole, that’s the libertine from North Carolina. Why are you suing J. Cole, my n####? He doesn’t bother anybody.”

Still, Cameron said nothing.

Morijo tried again, asking if Cole’s rising status in the hip-hop world would change Cam’s mind. “Well, you don’t want to answer. Well, just answer this: He’s becoming a rap legend. It doesn’t make you just say, ‘No. You know what… let bygones be bygones’ or whatever the case may be?”

Cam finally broke the silence. “I think J. Cole is definitely going to be a rap legend. 100 percent. For sure.”

However, when asked “but he didn’t get a pass”, Cameron shut down again.

Moricheng sighed and ended the conversation: “Okay, man. You all know that I’m working hard.”

The lawsuit, filed earlier this year, accuses J. Cole of breaching an agreement related to “Ready ’24,” a song that appears on Cole’s 2024 mixtape “Possibly Removed.”

According to court documents, Camron claimed he provided vocals and lyrics for the song but was considered only a co-writer of the work, not a performer.

Camron also claimed that Cole agreed to either appear on his “It Is What It Is” podcast or guest verse on Camron’s record in exchange for the contribution. Neither situation occurred, the lawsuit says.

After months of delays and no response from Cole, Camron said he had no choice but to take legal action.

He is seeking at least $500,000 in royalties and profits, as well as official credit as a co-writer on the recording and a full financial breakdown of Universal Music Group.

To date, neither J. Cole nor UMG have publicly responded to these accusations.
