Drake can’t seem to catch a break. The so-called “Drake Curse” story resurfaced Saturday night after the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Toronto Blue Jays in Game 7 of the World Series. The Dodgers won their second straight championship, while the Blue Jays and Drizzt were heartbroken again.
The rapper was at Rogers Center throughout the game, cheering on the Jays.
Games are games, and then there’s social media. The internet wastes no time in revisiting old jokes, tying the team’s failure to Drake’s supposed bad luck every time he publicly supports a team or athlete.
And then, somehow, Kendrick Lamar’s side crept into it. Apparently, K-Dot is a Los Angeles native. Kendrick’s supporters also joined in, reminding the world of Liushen’s other big L. Now why do they do this? Well, the Internet is a very, very small place!

The Dodgers’ title defense immediately sparked a wave of memes calling it “back-to-back” wins — a thinly veiled nod to Drake’s 2015 diss track against Meek Mill. Damn it, man!
Still, the timing wasn’t great. One wonders if Drake is betting on this whole thing. Drake is currently named in two class-action lawsuits accusing him and others of helping promote illegal online gambling operations that targeted young users. He has yet to comment publicly on the allegations.
We are still waiting for ICEMAN to change the narrative! What Drake needs right now is a hit, not a rap beef. In fact, some would argue that rap needs Drake right now. Cursing aside, let’s stop talking about baseball and the constant trolling. But for now, the internet is too interested in Drake. Shout out to Los Angeles. You guys work hard
