Kehlani released her “Folded Homage Pack” on October 24, bringing together R&B royalty and longtime musical inspirations, a six-track remix collection focusing on Toni Braxton, Brandy, Ne-Yo, Mario, Tank and JoJo.
The tribute EP, released via Atlantic Records, reimagines her hit single “Folded” with vocal heavyweights who defined 2000s R&B.

Ne-Yo’s appearance was kept under wraps until the full tracklist was released, ending the release with a surprise.
“Folded” was originally released on June 11 and has become Kehlani’s most commercially successful song.
The single climbed to No. 18 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, her highest solo chart position, and reached No. 1 on both Billboard’s Rhythmic Airplay chart and Urban Radio chart.
Produced by Andre Harris, DK the Punisher, Don Mills and Khris Riddick-Tynes, the song blends nostalgic melodies with modern production.
The album follows her 2024 Grammy-nominated effort “Crash” and its follow-up “While We Wait 2.”
Kehlani spoke with Billboard about the creation of “Folded” alongside her five-year-old daughter Adeya.
“I was on a business trip with friends in Miami when I first heard the beat,” she recalls. “I loved it right away, so I took it into the studio — me, Uncle Kamal, Uncle Dixon, Aunt Jenna — and we sat down together and worked on the song together. We were really excited about it and thought, maybe we should put this song out.”
When Adea asked her why she wanted to release “Folded,” Kehlani smiled and responded, “I just thought it was a really cool way to get back into music after taking some time off. I felt confident in it — it felt like the right song. Do you think it’s a good song? Because as long as you like it, I like it.”
