YoungBoy Never Broke Again’s second concert in New Orleans was sold out, but fans without tickets tried to storm the arena entrance, causing the Smoothie King Center to be blocked.
On Monday (October 20), YB performed his second show at The Big Easy on the MASA tour. Rowdy fans outside the stadium tried to force their way into the venue, causing security concerns. In response, authorities issued a temporary lockdown order, not allowing even ticketed patrons to enter.
“We can confirm that unticketed patrons attempted to enter Smoothie King Center after the headline artist took the stage,” Mike Hoss, media relations manager for Legends Global, the company that manages Smoothie King Center and Caesars Dome, told NOLA.com.
“It’s important to note that all unticketed fans were cleared through our enhanced security screening procedures, so there were no compromises or breaches of the venue’s security perimeter. Venue staff and the NOPD quickly brought the situation under control, and the unticketed fans were removed. The concert continued throughout its duration without any interruptions or incidents.”
According to reports, YB’s manager Alex Junnier shared a post on social media on Tuesday (October 21), announcing that NOPD Sergeant Anne Kirkpatrick has now banned the rapper from performing in Louisiana.
A since-deleted post shared by Junior reportedly read: “Shout out to Twinskie for telling us that after these two shows we will no longer be allowed to play in Louisiana.”

The New Orleans Police Department beefed up the show’s police presence by adding 400 officers to help maintain order, marking YB’s first performance in his hometown in seven years. The tour continues tonight in Birmingham, Alabama.
