The plot includes deceiving the “Charlie Kirk Award” and quickly became a conversation point online for its keen irony.
After Kirk’s death, he was shot dead in front of more than 3,000 attendees in the “Prove Me False” debate – Comedy Central quietly pulled from its schedule to reread. As of Thursday (September 11), the network has not said whether the plot will return.
Before his death, Kirk responded publicly to the parody, saying, “They obviously would make fun of me…but I think it’s funny.”
But following the assassination, conservative voices on social media accused South Park of being demanded by the political department and demanded the cancellation of the show.
The rebound reignited the debate about the boundaries of satiricality, especially when it targeted polarized public figures.
South Park’s next new episode is scheduled to air on Tuesday (September 17), but the show’s creator or network has not posted official comments.
Authorities confirm no arrests related to the Charlie Kirk shooting
Kirk, 31, co-founded the American Turnaround Point with others and is a prominent supporter of former President Donald Trump. According to law enforcement, he was killed by a sniper after noon.
The video shows him clutching his neck tightly and collapsing. Shortly after being taken to the hospital, he was pronounced dead.
Authorities questioned the two but released them. Latest updates have not been arrested.
Donald Trump ordered flags to be hung during Sunday’s half-flight and expressed condolences to Kirk’s wife Erika and her children.
