A few days after he started filming his first film, he had already laughed at Street Fighter II.
On Instagram, the rap legend appears to be an informal photo of his character Balrog.
He captioned the picture: “Street Fighter is coming soon, and then I came with Street Fighter II Balrog. All the roads lead to Shreveport!”
50 and his co-stars have only started with the rapper and actors to announce that the work has begun shooting the first film.
On his Instagram page, Rap Legend posted images of the logo of the iconic video game series and wrote: “I’m not posting because I’m working on my new movie Street Fighter. Am I working on your job?”
In the latest adaptation of the game, 50 is playing Balrog, and the rest of the ensemble consists of Jason Momoa, Andrew Koji, Noah Centineo, David Dastmalchian and Orville Peck.
The film will also feature WWE superstars Rome Reign and Cody Rhodes.
In the first two adaptations of the fighting game, Balrog is played by Grand L. Bush and Michael Clarke Duncan.
Street Fighter is directed by Kitao Sakurai and is currently expected to be released sometime in 2026.
After appearing in 2023 with Jason Statham and Sylvester Stallone in 2023’s Devendables 4, Street Fighter will be one of the biggest characters of the 50s.
Last year, he played the lead role in the straight-up thriller Boneyard, which also featured Mel Gibson.
Some of the most famous screen characters of 50 years include his semi-autobiographical debut, Rich or Die from Tryin’, killing alongside Al Pacino and Robert De Niro, The Action Series Escape Project and Southpaw’s Action Series.
50 has also been making big movies behind the camera, recently announced his TV channel’s 50-cent action expansion to the UK.
50 says: “You know, everyone loves London. If you’re from New York, or you’re an American average record artist, the first stop and your first international love is London.”
He added: “My listeners, my core audience – people who liked my music at the beginning were at home. They were older. They would understand the entertainment choices I made creatively. I used music to blend in with entertainment.
“Can be started here [in the UK] It’s big because I have a lot of audiences here that can’t be with us. Now they have a chance to see it. ”
