Ice Spice talked about the speculation in a Rolling Stone interview, saying: “I think we’ve said that I asked her ‘What’s the question?’ It’s a blank stare.

Latto told Billboard that she never considered it as real beef.

“If I want to do it [a battle]this must be used with people I think Imma t ## for tat. I really don’t mean as a shadow. Does she even want to do this? I feel like she is doing her in her driveway. …This is two different types of resonance. I don’t even think she’ll give me, “Oh, she wants to do real rap beef”.

Despite the back and forth, “Gyatt” is seen as a unified moment in the female rap world, with listeners praising both artists for abandoning their differences – if only for the time being.
