Jim Jones greets 6ix9ine co-defendant Mel Murda 6 years later

Jamel Jones, also known as Mel Matrix in the rap world, pleaded guilty to the charges of extortion in 2019, as part of a high-profile RICO case.

Jim Jones welcomed the long-time Jamel “Mel Murda” back to the streets of New York after six years in prison linked to nine Trey Gangsta Bloods cases, which also fell into 6th-grade 6ix9ine Archives whose cooperation with federal prosecutors continues to haunt him.

Also known as Mel Matrix in the hip-hop circle, Jamel Jones pleaded guilty to extortion in 2019 as part of a high-profile RICO case that exposed the internal workings of nine TREY suits. On Thursday (August 28), Jim Jones marked his return in a publicly supported manner, posted a video of the party on Instagram and shared it with them the past tracks.

“We are different from Yere,” Jones wrote. “We don’t bend we won’t fold, and if we fall, we will be stronger. Welcome back to MEL MATRIX, and you deserve everything the world has to offer. Let’s get everything they owe you. We don’t say you don’t say you don’t say you don’t see you now seeing your Italian bread Mobbin.”

The post is both a celebration and a reminder of the gap between those who remain silent and those who testify.

Meanwhile, in the same case, his-born 6ix9ine, who is Daniel Hernandez, still faces legal impact. He recently admitted to possession of cocaine and MDMA in federal court, which violated the terms of his earlier plea agreement. His sentence, held in September, could result in additional imprisonment from months to years.

Although Jones’ public image is often associated with street credibility, he is also accompanied by other New York rappers. He and Fivio foreign countries are considered dismissive for their legacy of NAS, sparking debates among hip-hop purists and newer voices.

Jamel Jones was initially convicted of conspiracy and trafficking in narcotics in October 2019.
