Earl Sweatshirt revealed that he and former strange future member Frank Ocean haven’t spoken for a long time.
The Earl sat down for a rare interview with The New York Times on pop music, discussing his relationship with his former strange future comrades.
He said: “I talked to Taylor more than I talked to Frank. I haven’t talked to Frank yet. He’s doing a shit. He can throw what he wants at any time.
The 31-year-old rapper gave up on Live Laugh Love, his fifth solo album today (August 22) consisting of 11 tracks and running for less than 25 minutes.

He announced the album only after a surprising listening party in Los Angeles a week ago, but instead of showing himself, he sent a stand-in to perform his songs.
Listening to the party still featured songs that were previously unheard of, led to speculation about a new album, which is now officially launched.
Last year, the Count was reunited with Taylor, the creator of Coachella.
In the headlines of Tyler on the second weekend of last year’s festival, the strange future founder was surprised with the appearance of Earl, who joined him on several songs.
The two performed “Assmilk” on Tyler’s 2009 album Bastard, the first time she sang the song since 2014.
They also teamed up to perform “Rusty” on Tyler’s 2013 album “Wolf”.
When the Count left the stage, long-time friends shared a hug and some kind words, their brother showed full display.
“Earl Muthafuck sweatshirt!” Taylor yelled. “My brothers. I love this guy so fucking.”
The Count said: “Taylor, fuck creator, man. Watch the biggest show on earth.”
Earl Sweatshirt and Tyler previously celebrated their 10th anniversary with Earl’s debut album Doris in 2023.
In August, Tyler joined Earl for his 2013 collaboration “Wow”, and the former strange future group reconnected on the stage in Novo, Los Angeles.
The couple also hugged her on stage and posed for photos while showing their former group love.
