Erica Banks found a stolen gun at the checkpoint yesterday and was arrested at the Atlanta airport.
Erica Banks arrested in Atlanta for stolen gun
The Dallas rapper was born in Erica Breaux on Wednesday (August 6) to try to fly to Houston at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport when a gun was found in her carry-on bag during a TSA inspection.
Banks told authorities she did not know the gun was black and gray Smith and Wesson, according to a police report obtained by XXL on Thursday (August 7). Banks told police that the gun was not hers, but her safety. However, she did not provide a safe name.
After further investigation, the gun was stolen from South Carolina in 2018. As a result, Banks was booked at the Clayton County Jail and was charged with theft by receiving the stolen property. She was released Wednesday night.

Erica Banks’ attorney makes a statement
Erica Banks’ attorney Jackie Patterson made the following statement about the arrest. “Our argument is that when she was caught by this weapon, she didn’t know it was stolen,” the statement said. “So, she had no crime. And, once we filed a lawsuit in this case, my job is to make sure that it never became a part of her criminal history and dismiss the charges.”
XXL has contacted the Atlanta Police Department for comment.
