Eminem shocked a crowded house at Pier 17 on Tuesday (August 6) when he unexpectedly walked on the world premiere of the documentary Stans, expressing his heartfelt thanks to those who have followed him since the first day.
The Detroit rapper didn’t announce his appearance in advance, but the moment he walked out, the sold-out crowd burst out.
The event marks the debut of Stans, a documentary about Eminem’s complex relationship with his most dedicated supporters – the man he calls himself “Stans” since the same name was hit in 2000.
“When I wrote this song, I didn’t understand the impact my music had on people at that time,” Eminem told the crowd. “It’s really surreal to me. To this day, watching all of you and my music here inspired you. This movie is a thank you to everyone.”
He paused as the audience cheered. He added: “It’s thanks to everyone for sticking with it throughout the F##### time.” “For all my s ###, to all my b #####, or my f###### pediocre s ####. OK s ###, bad s ###, all that.
During the speech, Eminem joked, yelling “I love you” from the crowd with her reaction to her fans.
Em spent a little time speaking to all fans in his heartfelt speech tonight. This message is delivered to Stans around the world and you have made it all possible. ❤️
