On August 2, the alchemist revealed a news that it was coming through XX. “The new Mobb Deep album is done. It’s entirely produced by Havoc and Alchemist.”
The legendary metronome offers no further details about the upcoming project.
Mobb Deep’s long interruption
This will be the first album of the duo since the Infamous Mobb Deep in 2014 and the first Mobb Deep album released since the 2017 Prodigy Pass. P reportedly died on June 20, 2017 and has been fighting since birth after being hospitalized for complications related to sickle cell anemia. His official death was accidental choking as he found him choking on an egg in the hospital.
Since Prodigy’s death, he has been in the legacy of solo and collaborative projects, including the extreme measures of Flee Lord (2020), Dark Lo (2021), Styles P (2021)’s wrecking methods (2021) and more, as well as the appearance of the reception.
New Mobb Deep Album
The new Mobb Deep album has been around for a long time. Back in 2018, Havoc revealed that he was working on a new album.
“My way of thinking is just trying to keep the legacy alive,” Hav explained. “We deserve it. Actually, I’m currently working with [Prodigy’s] family. ”
This will be the first post-death project for the prodigy. 2025 is 30 years since Mobb Deep released its famous sophomore album “Infamous”.
