Freddie Gibbs and the Alchemist have finally released their album Alfredo 2, which is probably the most anticipated project since the Alfredo album. Now, the album is sophisticated in sound thanks to the alchemist’s musical acuity, but that’s not the only reason the project stands out. What really cheers up fans’ ears are some of the bars on the project, which is evident to the two outstanding people in hip-hop. This is specifically for the song called “Luxury Habits”.
First is Gunna, who he calls “the bastard”. To be exact, this is Freddie’s actual bar: “Gunna fired me and begged, he’s the mouse b*stard.” Now, this is one of the things that can become a full-scale battle between two rappers. Although rap controversy is nothing new to either of them, Freddie has had some lyrical experiences recently battling rappers like jpegmafia.
Freddie, on the other hand, also has a bar that allows you to “stop”. It actually came up before Gunna bar and went: “I’m still Gon’Squeeze Akademiks’T*Tties, that fat bastard.” Not sure how many people would offend this, especially considering how you see attitudes towards Akademiks in hip-hop.
