C-Tru and Marina’s new single “My Spirit On on in to on” just got #1, not through hype, but by telling a story that needs to be heard. Inspired by Marina’s real-life abuse and survival journey, the track has become the lifeline for others with similar stories.

Independent artists C-Tru and Marina have sparked a powerful chord with their latest single “My Spirit On” (My Spirit Ons On), a primitive, emotional track that has just climbed to #1, not through gi heads or viruses, but through truth.
The track stems from a conversation between C-Tru, an experienced rapper/producer known for working with Snoop Dogg and DMX, Marina is a survivor of abuse in the foster care system. Initially her personal story became a gathering cry for others. “It’s not just making music,” C-tru said. “It’s about a story that has been ignored for too long just.”
C-Tru already has four #1 albums, and he says this moment feels different. The song’s message – about survival, injustice and recovery – resonates with listeners, especially those survivors who flooded the dock’s inbox, with connection and gratitude.
“I haven’t spoken out for years,” Marina said. “Seeing this song not only touches people, but also hears it – it’s overwhelming. It means our pain is recognized.”
The influence of this song is getting far beyond the top. Marina said a young girl said that her attitude of finally believing that she could heal is more prominent than any honor.
The two are already mixing sounds with European artists to expand coverage. Marina was originally from Austria and hoped to introduce German rap legend Sido to expand the message further.
In addition to music, Marina plans a film project that aims to tell her entire story and build a wider movement focused on survivor support and system reform.
“My Spiritual Struggle” is more than just the first single. It is a moment of estimation and proof that music rooted in truth can still be cut.
