Diddy walked out of the Manhattan court and cleared the worst charges against him as several of his children celebrated the verdict with relief and plans to celebrate the April July celebrations.
The 55-year-old hip-hop tycoon was acquitted by conspiracy of force, fraud or coercion and extortion, which could put him in life imprisonment.
However, a federal jury still found him guilty of two counts of transporting an individual to prostitution, putting him in prison for up to 10 years.
His sons Christian Combs and Justin Combs were family members of the court when the verdict was read.
“The first thing I have to do is embrace my pop music!” Christian, 27, told the Daily Mail. He added that despite their “hope” they also know “you never know.”
Justin, 31, responded to the sentiment, saying they were “happy” with the result.
The family described the “happiness” of the July 4 celebrations later this week and suggested attendance could be done if allowed.
Diddy’s daughter’s chance comb is still in court, with 18-year-old son Quincy Brown standing next to him as the jury made a mixed sentence.
Despite some victory, Diddy was still detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn after the judge denied his $1 million bail application.
Didi is also the father of 18-year-old twins D’Lila and Jessie, and is also a 2-year-old daughter named Love. His sentence was decided on October 3.
