Drake’s sudden appearance at the recent Morgan Wallen show in Houston has sparked opposition that hasn’t forgotten the N-word controversy of the country star a few years ago.
Drake goes with Morgan Wallen
Morgan Wallen took my question tour in Houston over the weekend and performed back to back. The next night, Saturday (June 21), the sensation of country music and drizzle came out. In the video below, Morgan is taken to the stage by the intestines of the stadium. Drake greeted him, the crowd frantically. Wallen also shared a review of the show on Instagram, which performed with Drake’s song “The King of the Ground”.
Drake faces a rebound in alliance with Morgan Wallen
Some fans have been aligning with Wallen, who was captured by cameras in 2021 using N-words. Wallen later apologized for the incident.
“It seems that someone will see a lot of similarities for Morgan Wallen,” said another X user. “It’s good for them. They can all make fun of slavery and n words together.”
Others accused fans of hypocrisy on the boys.
“Morgan Wallen and Lil durk bigxthaplug rod wave moneybag yo juicewrld closed the song and you didn’t hear the anger until he met wit.”
Despite Wallen’s controversy, Drake isn’t the only rapper to connect with the country artists on the rankings. In 2022, Lil Durk worked with Wallen and defended his past transgressions. Other rap artists followed suit.
