Beyoncé ended her final performance of the London Cowboy Carter Tour on Monday (June 17), paying a heartfelt tribute to Paul McCartney and paying tribute to his daughter designer Stella McCartney while performing the Beatles’ civil rights era Blackbird.
The Grammy-winning artist handed the track to a group of people at Tottenham Stadium and went to Instagram to express her gratitude.
She wrote: “Sir Paul McCartney wrote one of the best songs ever. Every time I sing, I feel so honored. Wearing the design of a beautiful daughter is a complete moment.”

At the moment Beyoncé’s sixth and last date in London, she also thanks the city for its energy and support.
“Thank you, London, for creating unforgettable memories for me and my family. When I was on the tour again, Holla was in ‘Ya!” she added.
The singer recently reimagined the 1968 Beatles Classic on her album Cowboy Carter and re-stateed Blackbiird with a lineup of black female country singers including Brittney Spencer and Reyna Roberts.
The original song written by McCartney was inspired by the American Civil Rights Movement. McCartney praised Beyoncé’s version in a public statement, calling it “magnificent.”
He added: “I think Beyoncé made the Fab version and urged anyone who hasn’t heard of it yet to check it out. You’ll love it.”
The Cowboy Carter album released earlier this year sparked widespread dialogue because of its genre-fusion approach and attention to black country artists.
