BigXthaplug took the center stage in Nashville on Tuesday (June 5) as he received Billboard’s 2025 Innovator of the Year award at the Country Power Players event.
The event was hosted at Luke Combs’ Class 10 venue, a big moment for his genre bending from Dallas Hip-Hop to the countryside crossover.
The award was presented by Grammy-nominated country artist and frequent collaborator Shaboozey, which recognizes Bigxthaplug’s growing influence in country music, just like he laughs at his upcoming project, and I hope you’re happy that this is the release of the country style that will be released later this year.
The announcement comes in front of a room filled with industry leaders and flavor makers.
The celebrations didn’t stop there. Bigx held a busy party at Losers Bar & Grill, known as “Losers Back Porch Back”, Sam Hunt, Ella Langley, Chris Comstock and others joined the toast milestone.
The event also became an unofficial kickoff for CMA Fest weekend.
The award comes after a series of high-profile performances by Bigx, including Coachella, Stagecoach and Jimmy Kimmel Live, where he continues to blend Southern Hip-Hop’s grit with country music storytelling.
GQ Hype’s cover and Billboard’s genre issues were also featured.
In addition to music, Bigx also uses his platform to support the American Autism Association, honoring his son during the Autism Acceptance Month.
