Dave Portnoy burned Kanye West’s words during a Shay Shay club appearance and summoned the rapper’s history of anti-Semitism and public disrespect.
“Kanye is AP ############################################################################ I didn’t let people defend him.”
The founder of Barstool Sports, known for his straightforward childbirth, slammed West’s repeated crimes, including his compliments on Adolf Hitler and his past treatment of Taylor Swift.
“I think Kanye has one of the free passes ever. Now I’m a Jew. He hates Jews. Love Hitler. So you won’t be my teacup. Just like you’re with me, like ‘I like what Hitler did.’ Like, I don’t like you.”
Portnoy also revisited West’s interruption of the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, saying it should end his public utilities as he attacked Taylor Swift, then 17.
“What did he do on the Grammy when he stole her awards for the first time. It’s a 17-year-old girl. I don’t know what his problem is. He thinks others should win.
He didn’t stop there. Portnoy also criticized the infamous call between Swift and West, with West and Kim Kardashian releasing the lyrics from the song.
Portnoy’s speech comes days after West’s upcoming concert in South Korea was abandoned due to what organizers call “recent controversy.”
According to Reuters, the show was originally scheduled to be held at Incheon Main Stadium on May 31, 2025 and was officially cancelled by Interpark Global and Coupang.
Controversy revolves around West’s song “Heil Hitler”, which dropped on May 8 (Europe was victorious on the day), which included samples of repeated Pro-Nazi lyrics and 1935 Adolf Hitler’s speech in 1935.
After widespread opposition, the track quickly pulled from the major streaming platforms. Kanye West has also faced criticism from anti-Semitic and anti-LGBTQ posts on social media in recent months.
After the concert was cancelled, Kugan stopped selling Yeezy goods in South Korea. Organizers confirm that all ticket purchases will be refunded in full.
