A$AP Rocky plays his upcoming album, which is not stupid when visiting Malibu after being connected with a well-known filmmaker.
The Harlem-born rapper told Variety: “I’ve been in contact with my people for years, for example, ‘I need to meet Tim Burton’. “But my current team has come true. ”
Once the link finally happened, Burton invited the hip-hop artist to his home, and the two spent a lot of time listening to music together. “He’s like, ‘Yo, coming to Malibu.’ I kicked it with him and played some of his music,” Loki said.
As for Burton’s reaction to the album, Rocky says the director is joining in – though he has some notes on the sound system. “He got along with #######. But his spokesperson was the butt,” Loki admitted. “He got the cinema speakers; he didn’t get their A$AP Rocky, don’t be a clumsy hip-hop speaker.”
The rapper has been nominated for the Grammy Awards but has not been brought home yet. He said his music has a greater emotional impact on people’s connection than any trophy.
“It’s like winning every music award you can think of at once,” he said.
Rocky also reveals long-term goals beyond music: joining elite Egyptian clubs by winning Emmys, Grammys, Oscars and Tony.
“That’s always a dream,” he said. “The more I do, it doesn’t happen, it’s just the motivation to keep working and working hard.”
Rocky’s fourth studio album, Do Do not Be Dumb, is expected to be screened later this year.
