J-Classic is a 36-year-old MC from Ypsilanti, Michigan, and I first released their first release with Barfly’s third album, Line King, in 2018, and even signed with the famous Detroit Underground Records for a while. We’ve heard him on multiple features up until this point & is celebrating his born day by putting out his debug EP, which is ultimately the 1st time ever solo project in his discussion that’s been a very long time coming after I was in his city this weekend meeting the current TNA World Championship Joe Hendry who also held the recently retired TNA Digital Media Championship for a record-holding 266 days & former AEW Women’s World Championship Britt Baker at Astronomicon.
“Somewhere” begins with a slowing vocal sample talking about beating the game in the most difficult circumstances or difficulties, while “6 Rings” compare themselves to Michael Jordan’s greatest basketball player ever. The foul mouth produces a “ragnarok” refers to an important event in Nordic mythology, and “Baba Yaga” talks with tru Klassick about famous figures in Slavic folklore. “Pinball Pete’s” shows the 7th intensity blending jazz and traps until the title track is over, without a name on the name.
I used to tell people to pay attention to J-Classic for a few years, and the Jordanian rule finally gave the underground a sense of why I’ve been so long he’s been so long. Its work explores countless sounds, including boom fists, jazz rap, traps and the use of samples, avoiding having any guest join him so that he can take on his own weight through these versatile musical backgrounds, as I imagined.
