Lizzo claims Britney Spears is “doing Janet” [Jackson] Impression” in a recent interview.
The “Truth Hurt” killer spoke on the “SiSister Competition” podcast that showed up. The comments quickly spread and caused a fierce reaction on social media.

It began circulating shortly after the series aired, with many calling on Grammy winners to minimize the legacy and personality of the spear.
Critics noted that while Spears publicly praised Jackson as a major influence, her voice and style have long stood up.
This quote is because Lizzo tried to defend himself from early criticism because he called Janet Jackson the “pop queen.”
Lizzo said in her full explanation: “I had to really clear some ### because people are coming for me on the internet because I said Janet Jackson is the queen of pop.
She added: “That’s why I say Janet is the queen of pop. Britney Spears’ impression on Janet.
The online response is fast. Many users defended the Spear, pointing to her decades-long career and its impact on pop culture. Others accused Lizzo of making women fight each other and underestimated the originality of the spear.

Spears has never concealed her admiration for Jackson, who paid tribute to her in an Instagram post in February 2024.
“Thanks to this beautiful lady for keeping my dreams and my heart,” Spears wrote along with Jackson’s 1993 Rolling Stone Hood. “She has always been the deepest, smartest woman at the same time. She has gone through a lot of things, but I think she is the one I will look up to in my life.”
