Sheff G talks about plea agreement in Rico case
On Wednesday (March 26), the Brooklyn rapper learned about his fate in the case of Rico, a gang that has been hanging over his head since 2023. The Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office announced that Sheff G, of Michael Williams, has convicted of second-degree attempted murder and second-degree and fourth-degree integration. In exchange for his confession, Schaff will be sentenced to five years in federal prison, Brooklyn Supreme Court Justice Danny Chun ordered. The rapper will be suspended for five years after his release. Prosecutors are sentenced to 20 years in prison.
“Notto, notoriously, can’t protect this defendant from justice,” Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez said in a statement. “He funded and direct violence with his reputation, intimidated our streets and will now be held in custody despite our search for a longer sentence. Brooklyn will not tolerate gangs that endanger our communities, and we remain committed to demolishing these criminal networks and holding those responsible for the entire responsibility.”
Sheff G is one of 32 members of eight Trey Crips and its affiliates, 9 Ways Gang, who was sued in May 2023. The group is also charged with Theodore Senior, who was killed by Sheff G Codefendant Dekattu in a mass shooting, according to the indictment.
Prosecutors said Sheff G was fueling gun violence by inducing gun violence to Brooklyn and providing expensive jewelry to those who commit the violence. “Two days after the senior murder, investigators said Sheff held a luxurious steakhouse dinner in Manhattan to celebrate. Sheff G also drove three gunmen to Flatbush in Brooklyn in 2021 in revenge on the rapper’s New Jersey mansion. The three missed their intended target, but two innocent bystanders were injured, according to the indictment.
Sheff G is the defendant who pleaded guilty in case 17. He will be sentenced on August 13. The indictment was also accused of drowsy. His case is still waiting. Both rappers recognized Donald Trump at a rally in the Bronx, New York, the then president in May last year.
