Dawn Robinson openly questioned her claim to be homeless and said she chose to live in the car, firing a shot at Jermaine Dupri.
The former en Vogue singer spoke in an interview with “The Way With Angela Yee” on Tuesday (March 25) and wasn’t incredible in Dupri’s speech, insisting that he has no real insight into her personal situation.
“He didn’t know my story,” Robinson asserted. “If that were the case, I’ve only seen him once.”
Robinson responded to Dupri’s doubts about her financial situation and the choice to choose “car life”.
Dupri openly doubts Robinson’s claims about financial difficulties, especially after learning that she hired an assistant while living in a vehicle.
“If there is no money, you shouldn’t consider an assistant,” Dupri said in an Instagram live broadcast earlier this month. He further expressed his skepticism, adding: “Without G ##### she got assistant, she had no money.”

Dawn Robinson is shocked by Jermaine Dupri’s remarks
However, Robinson was not amused by Dupri’s assumptions and was also frustrated by the lack of empathy.
“So I was shocked,” Robinson explained. “He doesn’t know my story, so he’s assuming. Instead of contacting me directly and saying, ‘Hey, you know I’ve heard about your situation, what do you need? Are you okay?” Or, “Hey, I don’t know her story, but she’s brave.” Like, quiet. ”
She also criticized Dupri’s approach, noting that artists usually show solidarity.
“We won’t attack each other like that,” she added. “You’ll swear he knows me directly, like he knows my story, why. It’s like, where did you come from? It’s a shock, but I think, some people just have to be negative and he doesn’t know my story.”
Robinson also articulated her living arrangements, emphasizing that her decision to live in the car was a personal choice, not a forced situation.
