Diddy reportedly pleaded not guilty in his new indictment because his sex crime trial was postponed.
Didi attends the pre-trial meeting
On Friday (March 14), Puff held a pre-trial meeting in court ahead of his upcoming criminal trial. At the hearing, the judge agreed to postpone the trial by one week so that both parties can resolve issues that may take more time. Diddy was also filed in the latest replacement indictment filed last week, accusing him of forced labor and forced employees to engage in sexual acts. Puff pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Diddy’s trial on sexual trafficking, extortion and traffic was originally scheduled to begin on May 5. Now will begin on May 12, with jury selection expected to begin at the end of April.
XXL has contacted Diddy’s team and the U.S. Court for comment.
As the trial gets closer, Didi’s legal team has been slapping all stops. On February 18, Didi’s lawyers filed a motion on the grounds of racial bias to dismiss his allegations of prostitution. On February 23, Diddy’s lawyers challenged the legality of the search warrants executed at Diddy’s home in Miami and Los Angeles last March. Recently, the original video of Cassie, who they claimed to have been beaten by Diddy in 2016, was changed to the press and later destroyed by CNN. CNN refuted these claims.
