Stone’s children issued a statement shortly after their mother’s death: “The children of R&B singer Angie Stone and the children of her extended family want to thank everyone for their love and good wishes during an extremely difficult time.
“Angie is a role model for black women and girls everywhere. Angie also loves black people and named her number one “Brotha”. Diamond and Michael and Angie’s family all want to thank you for reaching out, but also ask you to respect their privacy because they grieve for losing their beloved mother.”
Her children also revealed that Stone’s return to school was focused on her religious beliefs.
It continues: “Angie Stone believes that her foundation Angel Stone Foundation gives back to fans of the community.” “Recently, Angie also attended college at university. Her love for God and her faith has made her deeply eager to share her faith in God and bring more people to Christ.”
