Angie Stone’s children made a statement after the premature death of the groundbreaking rapper and singer last weekend.

Angie Stone was tragically killed Saturday night (March 1) involving her Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van and 18-wheeler shortly after performing in Alabama.

The affectionate R&B icon is only 63 years old. Stone’s two children Michael and Diamond, as well as her two grandchildren mourned the sudden loss and shared emotional remarks.

The family went to Instagram and expressed their gratitude for the public’s love and support.

“The children of R&B singer Angie Stone and the children of her extended family want to thank everyone for their love and good wishes during an extremely difficult time,” the statement said.

The family highlights Stone’s cultural influence and influence, a powerful role model, especially within the African-American community.
