With the release of the 2024 release, Drake and Partynexdoor inject some smooth grooves by dropping the $OME $exy $ongs 4 U joint album on Friday (February 14), Ovo Brethren released the previously sneered Album on DSP. The collaborative project features 21 songs. On the track, “Gimme A Hug”, drizzle raps past quarrels.
“Eliminate Drake, fake intimidation/spend a minute, take a deep breath, have a little patience,” he said. “It’s interesting that this will only wait in the boy’s sue,” he continued later.
Elsewhere, he seems to shoot Joe Budden. “Melyssa Ford, you are 6 hatred legends who want to meet you with suckers,” Drake snapshot. “They are throwing sh*t, but we’re trying to put down the harder sh*t, and I want to get the party to ignite all the rap beef.”
Drake announced this new album for the first time on PND’s “Sorry” last August on my Toronto tour. “On behalf of me and the party, we’ve been doing something for everyone,” Six Gods told the crowd. “So you’ve finished the summer and do what you need to do. I know all of you girls are out there. When it gets a little cold, the PartyNextdoor and Drake albums will be there to wait for you.”
After the party, his favorite collaboration with Drake is in the upcoming release. In early October, Drake doubled down when he showed up at Tyrone Edward at Toronto’s nostalgic radio party party, telling the crowd that Coftoc was about to come out. In December, Drake teased the project on Instagram.
Last week, Drake confirmed the album would drop on February 14, and then shared the cover art a few days ago. The cover was taken in front of the twin skyscrapers of Absolute World Apartments in Mississauga, Ontario. The two also teased the track “Chanel’s Cry”.
This is Drake’s first full-length project since his lyrical war with Kendrick Lamar last spring. He has been dispersing loose tracks, premiering old shots, and making appearances on songs ever since. PartyNextdoor released his latest album PartyNextdoor 4 (P4) last April.
