14 alleged members of the blood 5’9 rms were charged in Brooklyn this week with a series of violent crime charges, including murder, attempted murder and conspiracy.
The edge of 5’9 is related to high-profile figures like Cardi B and her best friend Star Brim. Both gangs are accused of planning a deadly attack in a years-long dispute with rival gangs.
Authorities accused the group of 19 shootings and injured nine people, four of whom were bystanders caught in the firefight. The violence is concentrated in several areas of Brooklyn, dating back to February 2021 and escalated after the killing of Bloodhunter Brim member Davent Lewis in April 2021.
The New York Police Department and the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office spearheaded the investigation, which uncovered damn evidence through intercepted prison phone calls, social media activities and music videos.
Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez said: “There has been a record low due to strategic enforcement and gangsters like today, which ousted alleged shooters. , responsible for causing alarming violence in Coney Island and Sheep Bay. ”
The incidents detailed in the indictment include the May 2021 shooting in which the nation’s rivals were hit multiple times, a deadly Halloween 2022 drilling rapper shooting and gang member Jamil Nicol Jamel Nicholson and 2023 sneaker store shootings in 2023, injuring two civilians.
Those who charge range from 15 to 30 years old.
