Cardi Boy says a recent break-in at his Los Angeles home was the work of a crazed fan, leaving the rapper tired of feeling safe for himself.
Little Cady reacts to recent break-in
Kid Cudi broke his silence on Thursday (January 23) about the intruder who broke into his home on January 15.
“Hey, so I want to clear this up because I see all kinds of stuff running around the internet and making jokes about it and it’s not funny at all. The person who broke into my house was a crazed fan who has been stalking me for years. [sic] I know,” Cudder typed in the Instagram Story post, seen below.
“He’s been to my shows and events in the U.S. and overseas,” the rapper continued. “He drove across the country and broke into my house hoping to talk to me about his collaborations and ideas. There’s nothing funny about it. My privacy has been violated and now I have to protect myself. I don’t feel safe right now.”
Cudi confirmed he would be increasing security as a result of the incident, which he said changed him.
“I’m going to take some strict safety measures to make sure this doesn’t happen again,” he added. “If you see me in public now and I act standoffish, this is why.”
The unknown burglar broke into Cudi’s home and was able to shower, use the bathroom and eat before police arrived and captured the man captured on surveillance footage. The man was charged with felony burglary and utility theft.
