Wendy Williams She said her most cherished felines, Chit Chat and My Way, were taken from her without warning while she was fighting a court-ordered custody battle.

Outspoken former daytime TV host Williams revealed the painful news in a candid interview with The Breakfast Club, describing the defeat as another blow to her ongoing bid for independence.

“My cat was sold,” she said, visibly frustrated as she discussed her life during the conservatorship that began three years ago. “I don’t know. Look, I don’t have cats anymore.

The cats, which Williams adopted in 2019 during a tumultuous time in her life, have sentimental value.

My Way was named during her split from ex-husband Kevin Hunter and symbolized her newfound autonomy, while Chit Chat was inspired by Williams’ love of conversation – a hallmark of her TV career.

According to Williams, the decision to remove the pets was made without her input, and she was not informed of their fate until speaking with their court-appointed guardian, Sabrina Morrissey.

“I didn’t know that until I talked to my guardian,” she explained. “I want my cat to be with me.”

The former “Wendy Williams Show” host now lives in a facility in New York, describing her current living situation as isolating and demoralizing.

Williams, who lives among significantly older residents, said, “It’s not my cup of tea,” and expressed deep frustration with the system.

The media personality cited her diagnoses of primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia as the root of the court’s rationale for assigning supervision, but she strongly disputed the suggestion that she was unable to manage her life.

“I don’t have a cognitive impairment,” Williams insists. “But I felt like I was in prison.”

In a tone that was both defiant and sad, she described the custody system as “broken” and accused it of causing “emotional abuse.”
