Nellie responds to backlash for performing at Trump Ball
Nellie isn’t the only hip-hop artist to perform at a Trump event in the past few days. On January 17, Snoop Dogg, Rick Ross and Soulja Boy performed at Trump’s pre-inauguration crypto dance party. Nellie responded to the backlash after announcing her performance at a Trump event last week.
“I thought you were going to ride with me because I’m here for my city and I’m trying to make my city Go further. Choice, I think so.
“No matter what, it’s an honor to perform for the Oval Office of the President of the United States,” he added.
On Monday, he again downplayed the controversy, telling ABC News: “This is not a political issue to me.”
