Police call for “lawless fights”
On Thursday (January 16), the New York Post broke the news that Tikal was involved in a fight at a Crunch Fitness gym in his hometown of Staten Island, New York. The victim was reportedly the ex-boyfriend of Mays’ daughter.
Police were called to the scene and the man reported pain in his face and felt dizzy. However, he refused medical assistance. Mays was not arrested for the fight but has filed a complaint regarding the incident. It’s unclear exactly what caused this.
Method Man’s daughter Cheyenne, also known as Chey, is an up-and-coming hip-hop artist who broke into the game last year. She released the singles “Hair & Nails” and “Boujee & Ghetto” last February, followed by the song “Walk” last September.
The fight seemed out of character for the rapper, who is currently in the running for the NAACP Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his role in “Book of Thrones II: Ghosts,” which Ended in August.
While there was no report of the incident captured on surveillance video, gyms and other venues are known to have camera systems in place. Footage showing the attack may be leaked.
XXL has reached out to the NYPD and Method Man for comment.
