Joe Budden Podcast co-host Ice has revealed that he may be banned from Compton, Calif., due to a social media feud with Kendrick Lamar affiliate Hitta J3. Ace discussed the issue with Joe Budden and other co-hosts on the latest episode of the podcast. The issues between Hitta and Ice stem from Ice suggesting that Hitta shouldn’t appear on Lamar’s latest album, GNX. While Ice didn’t mention Hitta’s name in his initial tweet, fans quickly discovered who the host was alluding to.
“I said, ‘I hope this guy doesn’t put his son on his album,'” Ace explained. “But, it seemed like everyone knew what I was talking about. Everyone tagged the guy I was referring to… So, he just went on… He was like, ‘Yo, if you If you don’t like what I said, just do something about it. I’ve muted you so I never see you again. Afterward, Ace admitted that Sheeta’s guest appearance on the album’s title track left an impression.
Here’s what JBP’s Ice did to Hitta J3’s tweet
Ace confirmed he received a call about the issue and admitted everything was fine. Hitta has yet to comment on the incident mentioned by Ice. Hitta J3 has been productive since GNX’s release, including new music and collaborations with GNX partner Lefty Gunplay. Hitta, the younger brother of Kendrick Lamar’s late best friend, died just as the Pulitzer Prize winner ascended to greatness. Before GNX, K.Dot worked on the Hitta remix “Do The Gutta” and also collaborated with Problem and YG.
Ice joins Hitta J3’s other speakers, including Drake affiliate Top5 and New York rap star Joey Bada$$. Joey released a jam song called “The Ruler’s Back” last week, which prompted a response from Top Dawg Entertainment’s Ray Vaughn. Sheeta would interject into Joey’s ad-libs, telling the rap star to try harder.
