San Bernardino, California emcee Doggystyleeeee joins forces with long-time collaborator AC3Beats for his fourth EP. He burst onto the scene in the fall of 2019 with his full-length debut album, Into Somethin’, and has since released his final 3 EPs as well as 5 mixtapes and a few more albums, generating interest so much that Snoop Dogg almost dropped him. He signed to Death Row Records and began reviving the label shortly after acquiring it from MNRK Music Group. His last tape, No Features Needed, was released last summer and featured him holding a half-hour of material alone without any guests.

“A Nightmare on Avon Street” samples Halloween-themed g-funk with an opening warning that you’ll be shot if you mess with him, while “Bacc on My Bullshit” takes it back to the early ’90s West Coast scene , refusing to get along with a cripple. “Don’t Claim Me” clarifies that he currently doesn’t have a woman, while “Footsteps” adopts a g-funk sound, further telling his new romantic interest to keep it g.

Trizz keeps things g-funk on “I Bet You Never Had” with Doggystyleeeee, who tells the women they now see they’ve never met anyone like them, on Big Motion’s “Nothin’ Like Yo Last” before, Judy Drama, Rae Monique and $inClar3 matched up with the previous track’s female counterparts. The song “On Safety” brings back the g-funk vibe of trying to find his way, while “Nothin’ 2 Somethin'” ends with reflections on his success.

Preparing for his upcoming fourth album later this year, “Blame It on My Crippin'” begins with the intro Doggystyleeee finds a producer who’s been with him since he started playing Come on the best side and help him make a 24 hour album.

Score: 8/10
