Joe Budden was charged with obscenity in New Jersey for walking around naked in his apartment building, and the podcaster’s attorneys are firing back at the police department.
Joe Budden incident goes viral

The former rapper stood naked in the hallway and tried to enter his password on the keyboard before returning to his residence. Joe was not arrested.
Joe and the lawyer recount strange events
Joe Budden announced the news via social media on Tuesday (December 31).
“Y’all are so dramatic,” he wrote on X in the tweet below.
He also spoke on the headlines of the latest episode of the Joe Budden Podcast.
“I just sleepwalked into places I shouldn’t have,” he says in the video below, downplaying the incident. “You know how I sleep. Ass. [naked]. Beautiful nudes, beautiful nude sleepwalking. I just did it again.
Joe’s attorney, Nima Ameri, called on the EPA to release the situation. They issued a press release on Tuesday, calling the police release “inflammatory and defamatory” and noting Joe’s “well-documented condition of sleepwalking.”
“Had Mr. Baden not been a prominent Black voice in his community, we do not believe a press release like this would have been issued regarding these banal allegations,” Joe’s attorneys wrote below.
Joe’s lawyer also said he had made multiple cross-complaints about the police’s handling of the incident.
