Megan Thee Stallion has filed for a restraining order against Tory Lanez, who he claims continues to harass her in prison.
Megan Thee Stallion files documents to get restraining order
According to legal reporter Meghann Cuniff, Megan Thee Stallion’s legal team filed a petition for a restraining order against Tory Lanez in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Tuesday (December 17). Meghan’s lawyer Mary Henderson called Tori a “violent and dangerous criminal” in court documents and insisted Meg currently has no formal protection against Tori’s “attacks” because of her His original protective order expired in 2023.
Tori is known as Mr. Peterson, while Meghan is known as Ms. Pete. “Mr. Peterson was sentenced to ten years in prison but continued his campaign of harassment while in prison,” the filing reads. “Of greatest concern, if Ms. Pitt does not obtain at least a civil restraining order, what will happen when Mr. Peterson is released from prison?” The mere possibility that she would have no protection would cause Ms. Pitt severe emotional distress and make her fear for her life.
Meghan’s legal team reportedly said in documents that the Conservative Party’s ongoing “psychological warfare” against her had ruined her life and caused her depression, leading to her alienation from friends. Her legal team claims the Conservative Party hired bloggers to spread defamatory statements about her. In October, Meghan sued one of them, Elizabeth Milagro Cooper, for defamation.
“In fact, Mr. Peterson continued to harass, bully and antagonize Ms. Pitt while in prison through the use of third-party online ‘bloggers’ whom Mr. Peterson hired to spread defamatory statements about Ms. Pitt,” court documents explain.
A hearing on the restraining order is scheduled for January 9, 2025.
