50 Cent Defends Drake Over Explosive Industry Accusations: 'they're Guilty'

50 Cent is speaking out for Drake following his legal action against Universal Music Group and others, insisting that the Toronto native is right and that the music industry executive is responsible for everything he accuses.

50 Cent responded to the petition in a recent interview with Big Boy TV. He began by suggesting that record labels might intervene when a particular artist becomes too successful.

“I think it’s one of those moments where you keep winning, and for the audience and even the artist community, if you win again, how do I have a chance of winning?” he said. “So they’d rather see Kendrick in that position and Drake, you get out of here.”

50 Cent continues to support Drake and insists his arguments are valid.

“That’s exactly what happened,” he added. “What he said the system had done, they did. They were guilty of what he said.

Earlier this month, Drake rocked the music industry with his explosive petition accusing UMG of illegally promoting Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” and defaming the Compton MC for “falsely accusing him of being sex offender”.

50 Cent went on to compare his past feud with The Game to Drake and K. Dot’s fight.

“Even though I’m Interscope, they’re G-Unit and G-Not at the same time,” 50 added. “On the same system, the same person telling you to play 50 Cent’s records also offers to play 50 Cent’s records. [The] game. This is just business. They treat it like a business.

Still, 50 Cent admitted that Drake would also benefit from any advantage K. Dot gets.

He added, “But everything they said they did for Kendrick was what they did for Kendrick. [Drake]”.

Understandably, unlike 50 Cent, Pusha T wasn’t as quick to defend Drake. He recently claimed that K. Dot “really spoke to his soul” on “Not Like Us,” leading to Drake taking legal action.

Check out Pusha’s comment below and Fiddy’s comment in the video above. The discussion between Drake and Kendrick Lamar begins around the 24:00 minute mark.
