Kendrick Lamar released his surprise album GNX on Friday without any notice.
What’s different about this album is that it’s the first time Kendrick hasn’t found the right concept or theme for an entire record. To some fans, it feels more like a mixtape. Today, we announced the first week sales forecast report for GNX with HDD, which predicts that approximately 290,000 units will be sold in the first week. The album’s streaming sales are expected to reach approximately 325 million, with the remaining sales coming through digital downloads.
This will mark Kendrick’s fourth consecutive No. 1 album. The album is also available to order now in CD and vinyl formats here . The other day, Kendrick dropped the music video for his hit song “Squabble Up.”
