Kendrick Lamar finally addressed the controversy surrounding Lil Wayne’s Super Bowl halftime show on “Wacced Out Murals,” a new song from his surprise new album GNX .

On Friday (November 22), Dot returned to album mode with the release of the song “GNX” and the album of the same name. On “Wacced Out Murals,” K-Dot finally addresses the public backlash from his fellow rap peers over his upcoming 2025 Super Bowl halftime performance, as well as Wayne’s complaints about not being chosen to perform at the big game in his hometown of New Orleans .
“I used to bang Tha Carter III, I’m proud of my Rollie chain/Ironically, I think I let Lil Wayne down with my efforts,” he raps on the song, which can be heard below. “Anyway, call me crazy, everyone has questions/Turn them into Eskimos/I draw the lines and the decimals.”
He continued: “Winning the Super Bowl, Nas was the only one congratulating me, all these black people were excited/I’m glad they showed their faces.”

2025 Super Bowl pick making impact on hip-hop
Kendrick Lamar’s selection as the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show performer over Lil Wayne has divided the hip-hop community, with several rappers and many fans speaking out Hope Wayne gets recognition.
Wayne repeatedly expressed disappointment at not being drafted. During a performance at the Lil Weezyana Music Festival in New Orleans earlier this month, Wayne said he was denied the opportunity.
