Juice WRLD is an amazing talent. The rapper has achieved great success throughout his life. Even after his death, his impact on the music industry remains. The rapper’s estate has confirmed that a final posthumous album will be released this month. The first single is performed by rap queen Nicki Minaj herself. The pairing of Juice WRLD and Nicki might not seem to make much sense on paper, but it actually works very well on All Girls Are the Same 2 (Insecure).
The instrument is classic Juice WRLD. It’s spacious and bassy, allowing the rapper’s voice to fade in and out. Juice WRLD often applies an echo effect to his voice, making it appear as if he is being projected from a giant empty room. The decision to do so here was to draw attention to his unique voice. Overall, it’s a very melodic cut, so it’s no surprise that Nicki Minaj decided to take a softer approach to her character. Instead of giving up the aggressive sixteen, she harmonizes with Juice in a way that compliments both of their voices. “AGATS2 (Insecure)” isn’t an exciting Juice song, but it proves that there’s a lot of quality material out there that fans haven’t heard yet.
