Raekwon and Ol’ Dirty Bastard are two of the most popular and iconic members of the Wu-Tang Clan. Both rappers released classic debuts in 1995. After Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s tragic death in 2004 shocked the Wu-Tang Clan to its core, Raekwon paid tribute to the “Shimmy Shimmy Ya” rapper on Instagram on Nov. 13.
Raekwon posted a unique photo of Ol’ Dirty Bastard performing alongside a lengthy message. “Miss you darling,” he wrote. “Today is the 20th anniversary of your departure, and we will never forget your presence in this world.” Raekwon, who appeared on Ol’ Dirty’s 1995 classic “Raw Hide,” also announced plans to pay tribute to the singer in Newark, New York.
