Three men suspected in a murder-for-hire plot to kill Quindo Rondo remain in an Illinois prison awaiting extradition to be arraigned in Los Angeles.
Quando Rondo hires murder suspect to await extradition
With news last month that Lil Durk and five alleged members of Only The Family had been arrested for the attempted cross-border murder of Quando Rondo, progress on the case has been slow. Three of the suspects, Kavon London Grant, 28, Deandre Dontrell Wilson, 33, and David Brian Lindsey, 33, remain in custody at the Winnebago County Jail in Illinois, awaiting transportation to Los Angeles by U.S. Marshals. There to face charges. XXL confirmed through police records that the charges included conspiracy to commit murder for hire, murder for hire involving death, and the use of a machine gun in a violent crime resulting in death.
Two other suspects, Keith Jones, 33, and Asa Houston, 36, are currently in custody in Chicago. Lil Durk remains in custody at the Miami Federal Detention Center. All five men were arrested on October 24 and charged with the 2022 shooting that killed Quando Rondo’s cousin Saviay’a Robinson, also known as Lul Pab.
A bounty was offered for Quando Rondo’s head after Lil Durk’s protégé King Von was shot and killed by one of Quando’s associates after a fight outside an Atlanta lounge on November 6, 2020, authorities said. Jones and Houston allegedly traveled to Los Angeles in August 2022 and attempted to murder Quando after identifying the hotel where Quando was staying. Shoot him. Kuando was not injured in the shooting death of his cousin. The trip was allegedly financed using a credit card linked to Durk’s OTF brand.
