Young Thug is now free after serving two and a half years in the Cobb County Correctional Facility while fighting a YSL RICO case filed against him in Georgia.

Under the terms of his release, Young Thug will be sentenced to 15 years of probation, during which time he is prohibited from promoting any gang-related content and must avoid contact with gang members or co-defendants, with the exception of his brother and Gunna. He is also banned from entering metro Atlanta for the next ten years, although he may return for certain family events, including weddings, funerals, graduations or serious illnesses.

In addition, Young Thug is required to give four annual anti-gang/anti-gun lectures or concerts in the Atlanta area and discourage others from joining gangs. However, he was allowed to travel outside of Georgia for work and music production, allowing him to resume his career while adhering to probation guidelines. In the wake of Thug’s release from prison, numerous celebrities have posted messages supporting Thug’s return, including TI, who previously predicted the release of Thug’s Atlanta rap rival.

“Welcome home lil bruddah,” T.I. wrote in a celebratory tweet. “It’s been so long…it’s time to go back!!! #KingJeffrey @youngthug.

sexyy red added, “They released the twins!!!” Producer ATL Jacob also chimed in: “Brother released on Halloween… welcome home @youngthug.”

Kid Cudi also commented on Thug’s newfound freedom in two tweets, praising the divine force that brought the multi-platinum rapper home safely.

“God is good!!” Cady wrote in the first tweet, before exclaiming in a follow-up message: “Praise God!”

“Thank God they let this man go home,” Jay Electronica wrote. “Become a great slime.”

Producer LondoOnTheTrack echoed similar sentiments, writing: “Thank God my baby is home!” in a tweet marking the moment.

Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” producer Mustard also reacted to the news, writing, “Thugs free, what a bad day!!!!!!!

Chicago rapper Lucki may have authored two of the most interesting reactionary tweets, including his assessment of Judge Paige Whitaker’s handling of Thug’s plea deal sentencing, and a petition he shared to fight for Lil Durk’s freedom – Lil Durk recently Arrested for an arrest.

“She didn’t even go after the fine in his pocket,” Luckey wrote. “Brother let this lady be president.”

In another tweet, Luckey added, “Ms. Whitaker said this rap is like WWE [goat emoji]. Wow look at Ms @Love Face she calls him a “genius”.
