A new DMX album titled Let Us Pray: Chapter X is about to be released and an official release date has been confirmed.
This album will be a little different in that it won’t be rap-heavy, but instead will feature his signature prayers. It will capture the spirit of the late four-time Grammy-nominated multi-platinum hip-hop legend. DMX’s prayers will be accompanied by original music from multi-GRAMMY® award-winning hip-hop, R&B and gospel songwriter and producer Warryn Campbell [Kanye West, Alicia Keys, Brandy, Yolanda Adams].
Campbell created new original music to accompany DMX’s signature prayers and provide an instrumental soundtrack to the spoken message. It also boasts contributing artists including Snoop Dogg, Mary Mary, Killer Mike, MC Lyte, LeCrae, Terrace Martin, Lena Byrd Miles and the RoyzNoyz Orchestra. The product will be available online and in stores through Def Jam on December 13th.
Commenting on the project, Campbell said: “As a creative, working on Let Us Pray: Chapter 10 has been one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had. When you hear the sound of DMX, it instantly inspires creativity. , what better way to show who X really is than through prayer, and I believe I can speak for MC Lyte, Killer Mike, Snoop Dogg, LeCrae, Mary Mary, Lena Byrd Miles, and Terrace Martin to be a part of this?
