ATL Jacob is defending a fifth claim involving his recent social media misunderstanding involving Cardi B and Offset.
In a candid interview with Baller Alert, ATL Jacob cleared up allegations that he shadowed Cardi B on Twitter (X) amid her and Offset’s ongoing cheating scandal and looming divorce. The producer quoted Future’s lyrics in a tweet he shared, categorically denying any negative intent behind the reply he quoted, which referenced Cardi’s alleged infidelity during Offset’s pregnancy.
“I’m not going to shade her, I’ve never shaded her,” ATL Jacob clarified. “Your husband [Offset]now no matter what you have experienced, you are my child. So why should I cover you?
The producer made it clear that he values his friendship with Offset and has no intention of creating tension between himself and Cardi B. Your relationship will always have its ups and downs.

When asked if he had spoken to Cardi B after the incident, ATL Jacob confirmed he had not while explaining his side of the story and claiming the whole thing was a miscommunication from the beginning.
“No, I think that was definitely a moment when I was tweeting,” he said. “I personally didn’t see the dramatic moment and what was going on. I was just completely confused.
ATL Jacob added, “So that’s why I didn’t even argue back and forth. I just thought, ‘Yo, I didn’t shade you. I never shaded you. I don’t even know what happened. I just replied A tweet that I don’t agree with, this one is definitely going viral on Twitter, the comments, the tweet comments, there’s no mention of Cardi B or Offset, nothing.
He went on to say that he wasn’t aware of Cardi B’s response until a notification of her quote-tweet popped up on his phone, which surprised him.
“I think I was scrolling through Twitter. And then a notification popped up. Cardi B quoted you. And I was like, damn. I wonder what she quoted.
Cardi heard the reaction but apparently didn’t feel it, as she went on to accuse the producers of being dishonest. Not only that, but she also claimed that this wasn’t the first time he said something “smooth” and tried to play dumb.
“This is the third time he’s said something sweet to me…” Cardi B wrote in a comment on Instagram in response to a clip of the ATL Jacob interview.
Cardi went on to claim that Offset allegedly questioned whether ATL Jacob shot Cardi, presumably while they were still together.
“My baby daddy has had to pressure him before…” she wrote. “Now he’s trying to play dumb because I’m talking directly to him. If you’re not going to stand in your shade, then give me some damn shade.
The high-profile divorce drama between Cardi B and Offset has been going on for years, with rumors of infidelity and public spats. The couple, who married in September 2017, initially split in 2018 amid Offset’s cheating scandal, but later reconciled.
They have three children together. Their ups and downs led to Cardi filing for divorce in 2020, but the couple eventually worked things out. Cardi filed for divorce again earlier this year, but the two have continued to confuse fans in a series of public appearances as they continue to work through their differences.
