XXXTentacion’s killer, Michael Boatwright, was caught by DJ Akademiks in a recent statement on his social media page. Last year, a judge sentenced Boatright to two consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole and an additional 30 years on other charges, and he is currently in prison.
Boatright wrote in the post: “You’re just judging me based on the one thing you all know, but you don’t even know the truth behind it all, I’m not the evil person everyone thinks I am. I’m not even No one knows that I am a person who believes everything you see on social media and I don’t regret anything I do.

When DJ Akademiks shared the post on X (formerly Twitter), fans had a lot to say about the statement. “I wonder what he means by the truth behind all this and are we missing something?” one user asked. Another person responded: “His lack of public remorse will make him ineligible for parole.” Other users joked about unfounded rumors that Drake was involved in the murder. One user wrote: “The killer takes the blame every time here and yet they still find a way to blame Drake for X’s murder.”
