50 Cent recalled the touching story of Eminem refusing to join a joint tour despite the possibility of making a small fortune.
In a recent interview, the G-Unit mogul revealed that he once tried to get his close friends and collaborators to hit the road together for a joint world tour.
“We’re going to be on stage at the Super Arena, just me and you,” 50 Cent told CBS Mornings’ Michelle Miller. “Then if we take [Dr. Dre] On certain dates, so we’ll do different things. We don’t need anything else. This will be the biggest tour in the world.
Still, Eminem rejected the idea and urged 50 Cent to tour without him because he didn’t want to miss out on his daughter’s childhood.
“He said, ‘I just don’t want to go back, Haley has grown up,'” he explained.
50 Cent’s lightbulb moment at Eminem’s daughter’s wedding
50 Cent, the father of Marquise, 27, and Sire, 12, initially didn’t understand why Eminem would turn down such a lucrative opportunity. However, it finally dawned on him when he attended Hailey Jade Scott’s wedding earlier this year.
“I thought he was crazy because I was like, ‘He just doesn’t want to go.’ Because at the time I was trying to convince him to come on the tour,” 50 Cent added. “Then… I went to Hailey’s wedding. She got married and I thought, ‘This is what he’s talking about.
During the wedding, 50 Cent reminded Eminem of his decision. “I was like, ‘Yo, man, this is crazy. We’re getting older. Your baby’s grown up. What the hell is going on?
“I spent some time there myself,” he added, before revealing that he was in tears.
