Lil Kim and Teddy Riley are both icons with long and storied careers, and now they have something in common – new touring deals with the same partners.
On Monday (September 30), Billboard reported that the legendary rapper and hitmaker has joined forces with Day After Day Productions and Emancipated Icon Entertainment Group for a global tour.
Emancipated Icon is a new company, as the name suggests, formed by the CEOs of Emancipated Talent (Rich Murphy) and Icon Entertainment (Greg Walker). Day After Day is run by its founder, Seth Shomes. According to his bio, Shams “became the first agent to build a platform for non-traditional entertainment to thrive in the gaming/casino industry” — so if Kim Reilly can get Usher style in Vegas ‘s residency is no surprise.
“I’m thrilled to be represented by Richard Murphy and Greg Walker of Emancipated Icon Entertainment Group and Seth Shomes of Day After Day Productions,” said Lil Kim. “With their expertise and dedication, I’m excited to tour around the world and ensure my art resonates in every corner of the globe. Together we are committed to creating unforgettable experiences for fans and pushing the boundaries of entertainment.”
Riley added: “I’m delighted that Richard Murphy and Greg Walker of Emancipated Icon Entertainment Group and Seth Shomes of Day After Day Productions are on board represent me in all areas of entertainment. Their passion and commitment to excellence will enhance my travel experiences around the world and together we aim to create extraordinary moments for my fans and continue to shape the future of music. The possibilities are endless!
Lil Kim has been keeping her stage sharp by appearing as a special guest at big shows — including a show with Usher in Brooklyn last month.
Sept. 9 marked the singer’s third of four consecutive nights at the Barclays Center, and as usual, Ursh had a few tricks up her sleeve.
At one point during the night, the superstar singer dropped the ball on the stage as he brought out GloRilla to perform her latest hit “TGIF,” before being joined by hometown hero Kim for her classic “Quiet Storm (Remix) )”.
