Nicki Minaj has hired Megan Thee Stallion’s former best friend Kelsey Harris to shoot a campaign for Nicki’s new LØCI shoe line.

Nicki Minaj’s LØCI took to Instagram on Tuesday (October 1) to share a new photo campaign for the Queens, New York rapper’s sneakers, which features Kelsey Harris in the new “Press Play” colorway Model. In one ad, shown below, Kelsey sits on a bike as a subway train speeds by in the background. In the second ad posted on Kelsey’s Instagram post, she sits on a metal bucket reading a fictional newspaper with the headline “Nicki Minaj LØCI Collection Has Landed.”
“Have y’all checked out the @locibynickiminaj shoe line?” Kelsey captioned the post. “Available now at @dtlrofficial and @shoepalace. I’m wearing the ‘Press Play’ shoes. The brand is very eco-friendly and constantly working to protect future generations.”

Some fans on social media were quick to call the connection between Nicki Minaj and Kelsey Harris just a small gesture between the two of them. Kelsey was once Megan Thee Stallion’s best friend, but they had a public falling out after the 2020 shooting of Tory Lanez. Kelsey was present during the shooting and publicly accused Megan of failing to clear her name afterward amid speculation that Kelsey could have been the shooter. She eventually testified at Lanez’s trial, but recanted from what she had previously told police about Tory threatening them.
Nicki and Megan have a long history of feuding, with Megan seemingly taking a shot at Nicki on the song “Hiss” earlier this year, and Nicki firing back on the song “Big Foot.”
“Now this is such a small thing,” one person commented on a post showing Kelsey appearing in the new ad.
